Access NYC is a portal for accessing NYC's programs and services.

I worked with the NYC's Mayor's Office of Opportunity's design and product team to create a mobile friendly and more accessible version of the site.

I worked with New Yorkers to test readability and accessibility of the site.

I implemented user feedback into clearer copy, information hierarchy and user interface improvements that met U.S. Federal Web Design standards and WCAG guidelines.

I developed a set of icons for NYC programs. My goal was to create a set of visuals that could quickly communicate what they stood for.

My designs were influenced by Google's Material Design and early icon development by designer Genevieve Gaudet.

I tested the readability of my sketches and early digital designs with the design and product team by creating a card sort exercise.

I worked with designer Chisun Rees to refine the icons. The icons were shipped as SVGs and PNGs. They can be seen throughout Access NYC.
