Citizen Designer Workshop AIGA/NY

I recently attended my first Citizen Designer Now workshop. I had signed the pledge earlier this year and was pleased to attend a gathering to consider next steps. Our discussion was lead by AIGA/NY vice president David Frisco and Citizen Design fellows Carmen Lopez and Sam Holleran. We discussed what are the characteristics of a citizen designer, what are the goals for this project and how we can be tactical about creating positive change. Questions to consider included "How can we move people from knowing to doing?", and "How can we create meaningful change on a community and an individual level?" I look forward to contributing to this initiative.
